Core Total Wellness is a concierge health practice that integrates physical therapy, Pilates, and health & fitness coaching to help you achieve optimal healing and sustainable health.
Core Total Wellness is Hilary’s affiliate company to CORE Physical Therapy in Washington, DC and offers supplemental health and wellness services not offered by CORE PT.
I believe that everyone should be able to live an active life, regardless of age. My approach to healing and being healthy is proactive and integrative, and I think your care should continue to change as you and your body change and mature.
My Mission is to educate and empower my clients to remain healthy, active individuals and to prevent future injuries so they can continue doing the things they love no matter their age. All clients are given a personalized program for their unique path to healing. I aim to help you optimize recovery, reduce pain, improve your health, and teach you the tools to maintain it.

Meet Hilary
Hi! I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiologist, Fitness and Health Coach specializing in women in midlife, Pilates Certified, and a Wellness Enthusiast with over 30 years of experience helping clients heal from pain, get healthy, and get stronger. I’ve been the co-owner of C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy in Washington, D.C., since 2006 and am also the owner of Core Total Wellness.
I’m passionate about helping my clients move better, feel better, and live better. My mission is to redefine what healthy aging looks and feels like by empowering clients to take control of their health and stay active for life.
My approach is holistic and personalized, blending movement, sleep, nutrition, stress management, and mindset to support long-term wellness.
In recent years, I’ve become especially passionate about helping women get stronger in midlife. I earned certifications as a Menopause Coaching Specialist through Girls Gone Strong (GGS) and Menopause 2.0 with Dr. Stacy Sims, and I love guiding women to feel confident, resilient, and strong through every stage of midlife and beyond.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapists treat pain through movement, hands-on care, and education. I will empower you to take control of your physical pain, optimize function and performance, and gain an improved understanding of your body. My personalized and comprehensive care gets you back on your feet faster and feeling better sooner. I not only address the injury itself but also figure out the root cause of your injury, how that injury affects your daily life, and how we can prevent it from becoming a recurring injury.

HEALTH COACHING
Using a holistic approach, we will work together to find the right balance for you. Maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle can be challenging, especially when you are busy, have a demanding career, juggling work-life balance, and have a full life.
My goal is to help you better understand food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your health, energy, balance, and happiness. Programs are customized to your specific needs and range from a single session to monthly coaching packages.

PILATES-BASED REHAB
Clinical Pilates incorporates Pilates-based rehab with traditional therapy methods. Pilates for rehab is gentle on the joints and the perfect way for a client to gain strength without overstressing the injured area. The focus is on building core strength, flexibility, breathing techniques, spinal mobility, and strengthening the entire body. Pilates also develops the smaller muscle groups, helping chronically weak and imbalanced muscles become stronger. Modifications to the exercises allow for a range of difficulty from beginning to advanced.

MENOPAUSE STRENGTH & FITNESS TRAINING
Going beyond physical therapy and Pilates rehabilitation, I provide fitness training and sports performance to enhance your functional strength, teach safe and proper movement patterns and optimize your fitness, specific to your individual goals. I don’t just want to help with your current aches and pains, I want to continue working with you to reach your full potential. I use personal fitness training to bridge the gap between rehab and your fitness goals without re-injuring healing structures.
