Techniques We Use
Our 1:1 treatment sessions are individualized and designed to approach you as a whole person, not just the area of pain. Sessions include manual therapy, including soft tissue and joint mobilizations, an exercise prescription for strength and mobility, and other modalities as needed. Education is tailored to your goals and can include exercise plans for home and lifestyle, environmental, and nutrition choices as they correlate with your specific diagnosis.
-
Manual Therapy
We offer a personalized session with soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, and mobility designed to induce relaxation, modulate pain, control swelling, and speed up recovery.
-
Functional Dry Needling
Intramuscular Dry Needling or Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a treatment technique that utilizes thin, solid filament needles designed to stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points affecting pain or movement dysfunction. The goal is to release or inactivate those trigger points through a ‘twitch response’ to relieve pain and restore motion.
-
Blood Flow Restriction
Blood flow restriction training uses a tourniquet-like cuff to partially restrict blood flow to a muscle while completing low-intensity strengthening exercises. This technique allows the body to build the same strength without the stress of high loads or heavy resistance. It can be a valuable tool for individuals rehabilitating after an injury.
-
Cupping/Myofascial Decompression
Cupping/Myofascial Decompression uses the negative pressure from suction to manipulate the skin and underlying tissue to improve mobility, release fascia and decrease pain. Modern myofascial cupping involves myofascial release, trigger point therapy and injury rehabilitation techniques.
-
Therapeutic Exercise and Patient Education
Therapeutic exercise refers to a range of exercises and movements that are prescribed by physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, improve functional abilities, and manage various musculoskeletal conditions and are designed to address their specific impairments, limitations, and pain.
